The college Alma Mater of Jill, Sharlene Kuhnheim, Rolf Treu ('66 Marry' em Sam) and Roger Lockie, maybe some others I've forgotten, University of Redlands, had a float in the parade for the first time to celebrate its 100th Anniversary. It was float #20, entry #47, just before the halfway point.

5th Annual Gathering at the AVI Resort & Casino, Laughlin, Nevada
Report by Cherie Rae Walker.

For various reasons, there was a smaller turnout than normal this year; however, we had a lot of fun with one another.

Pat & Muffyee Dingle came up for the day on Friday afternoon. Ginny (Huff) & Rusty Berard and Brenda (Severson) & Greg Gleicke came for the first time this year.

We all went out together for a very nice dinner Friday night in a restaurant overlooking the river. It was beautiful. We had a leisurely dinner visiting and catching up with one another. Saturday morning was spent having brunch. Some of us then went into Laughlin and play some slots and took water taxies to some of the other casinos. We met back up with everyone that evening and we were having such a good time talking and being together that we ended up just ordering pizza in the room. Ginny Huff convinced everyone how fun it is to pool our funds and play one slot machine as a corporation - so we did - we lost! But we have a fun time doing it. We did manage to irritate one other person sitting near us, but there was only one of him and 14 of us.

I hope more people will be able to come next time - no matter where we have it. It is getting together that matters, NOT really WHERE.
